HostPapa I recently purchased a hostgator hosting and I want to use it with my 1&1 domain name, How can I “merge” them?

If you’ve just bought the name from 1and1 then just goto your 1and1 control panel and set up a forwarding address. This way when someone types your site name into their browser it gets forwarded to your hosting site address but still displays your domain name at the top of the browser.
