HostPapa I have an account with Host Gator, for one site.
I want to have another site on the web, totally independent with it’s own IP address etc.
Should I buy another package separately on Host Gator (I like this host) or should I change to a reseller package with the same account.
Will I get an independent ip for my new site, and a new public folder in which to upload all my files through filezilla?

If I buy another monthly hosting package separately for my new site, can I use the same email address I used to get sent my info for the first account?

Well, I suppose you know that if you get the Baby plan, then you can host unlimited sites on the same host. But probably you don’t want to do this since you want a separate IP address.
With Hostgator, you get a separate billing account. You can buy as many hosting accounts as you want using the same billing account (and hence your email, payment details etc will remain the same even when you buy multiple accounts). This way they will give you a new account which almost certainly will have a different IP address than your previous one.
When placing an order, you can also tell them that you already have an account and hence ask them to give you a new account with a different IP address and they’ll mostly oblige. You don’t have to get a reseller account.
Yes, with a new account you will get a new html public folder and you can continue using your old email address.

Is there a reason you need a separate IP address? You could just purchase another domain name and host it on that same account. You will be able to direct that new domain name to a different directory then your main one. I don’t see the point in getting a reseller’s account unless you plan on reselling hosting to other people.
